The IATA code is OLB (ICAO code LIEO). The official name is Olbia – Costa Smeralda Airport, operated by Geasar S.p.A. It is Sardinia's second-busiest airport for passenger traffic after Cagliari-Elmas.
Is Olbia Airport open year-round or only in summer?
It is open all year, but with very marked seasonality: over 60% of traffic is concentrated between June and September. In low season many international routes are suspended and the public service flights to Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate remain the most active.
What happens if my flight is diverted to Alghero or Cagliari?
It happens rarely, mostly because of bad weather. If diverted, contact us straight away on WhatsApp: depending on the time we can reposition the delivery to the actual airport (with a transparent fuel surcharge agreed in advance) or wait for you back in Olbia if you decide to take a coach or shuttle.
Can I pick up the vehicle if I'm travelling with a pet in a carrier?
