San Teodoro

5 km of white sand at La Cinta, pink flamingos in the lagoon, and Ambra Night nightlife 200 metres away. The scooter is the key to enjoying it all without losing hours in queues.

Urban Agility

The Scooter Beats San Teodoro Traffic

From late June to the second week of September, San Teodoro changes face. The cars multiply tenfold, the La Cinta car park fills by 9:30, the SS131 towards Olbia becomes a metal serpent at weekends. For those holidaying here, choosing the Honda SH 125 scooter isn't a preference: it's the smartest way not to ruin your days. With the SH you park free in the dedicated bike areas at the entrance to La Cinta, Lu Impostu and Cala Brandinchi (the so-called 'Sardinian Tahiti'), skip the queue at the access tollbooth, and in 10 minutes drop down to the evening market in the centre for a stroll. For those travelling as a family or wanting more protection, the Fiat Panda Hybrid is a valid alternative: it enters the historic centre alleys, drinks little, and at weekends takes you in 25 minutes to Olbia airport or in 40 minutes to Cala Coda Cavallo for the most hidden coves. For adventure lovers, the Yamaha Raptor 700 quad is the entry ticket to the dirt tracks of Monte Nieddu, where waterfalls and natural pools await those who know how to reach them. All vehicles are delivered directly to your hotel, B&B or residence — just give us the address on WhatsApp.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I park the scooter free at La Cinta?

Yes! At La Cinta and Brandinchi there are free bike areas. You'll save compared to the car park and find a spot even in peak summer.

Do you deliver the vehicle to my hotel in San Teodoro?

Absolutely. VIP delivery to your hotel, B&B or residence. Give us the address and we handle everything.

Do I need a licence for the Honda SH 125 scooter?

A B or AM licence is enough (for the SH 125). For the SH 350 an A2 or A licence is required. For the quad a B licence is required.

How far is Olbia airport from San Teodoro?

Just 25 minutes via the SS125. We deliver at Olbia airport Costa Smeralda or directly to your accommodation in San Teodoro, depending on what you prefer.

Which road should I take to Cala Brandinchi?

From San Teodoro centre, take the SP24 northbound for about 6 km, then the deviation for Brandinchi is well signposted. By car it's 12 minutes, by scooter 8. In peak season parking fills by 9:00 for cars, while the bike/scooter area has spaces all day. It's also great to set off in the evening for a sunset swim, when the beach empties.

Can I go directly to the beach in swimwear on the scooter?

Legally no — you must wear a helmet, closed shoes and t-shirt while riding. Keep swimwear and sarongs in the scooter (under the seat fits a helmet and a small bag) or use a top case. Once at the beach, you change calmly there.

San Teodoro is the perfect point from which to explore the north-east coast. To the north, in 40 minutes of coastal scenic road you reach Golfo Aranci and its hidden coves, comfortable with the Fiat Panda. To the west, the Monte Nieddu hinterland hides waterfalls and natural pools reachable only by quad. To the south, in 25 minutes you touch Budoni and in an hour the Capo Comino reserve. Expert tip: if your holiday is over 5 days, alternate two vehicles (e.g. scooter for short trips and Panda for full-day excursions) — it costs less than a single car kept the whole time, and gives you real freedom.
